New Year’s Resolutions…..

and why do people even make them? Has anybody ever really ‘lost weight’ or ‘quit smoking?’ Somebody may have, but it sure as heck wasn’t anyone who made it their New Year’s resolution. In fact, I considered opening my own gym this year. The only catch would that it would only be open during the month of January – because after that nobody really gives a crap anymore.

I think if people made realistic resolutions, they might actually achieve them. For example, instead of giving up smoking all together, just smoke 26 cigarettes a day instead of 28. Instead of deleting your facebook account, just get on for 8 hours a day instead of the normal 10. Instead of saying you’ll read more books, let’s just start by getting through the table of contents first. And instead of losing 20 lbs, let’s just start by not super sizing the extra value meal. The medium order of fries is plenty. And does anyone ever really drink an entire super sized Coke anyway? I always was under the impression people super sized strictly for the extra fries….

So instead of losing all that weight, just go buy yourself some bigger pants….
